I'm going to a wedding banquet tonight. Will a colored oned-down shirt with khaki pants suffice?

I've gained some weight, and don't really fit in my suits anymore. In addition, it's too hot to be in a suit today. I hope I won't offend anybody at the wedding with what I wear.
